| Requirement | Value |
|---|---|
| Input | One PDF |
| Range | e.g. 1-3,5,8-10 |
| Output | PDF or JPEG |
| Naming | Original or numbered |
Write the pages you want as a range — 1-3,5,8-10 — or leave it as 1- to take everything from the first page onward. Choose whether the selected pages come out as a single PDF or as one file per page.
Before compressing anything, ask what the form actually requested. An eight-page land record submitted when only the relevant page was asked for is eight times larger than it needs to be, and compressing it to fit destroys the legibility of the one page that mattered.
Pull out the page, then compress that alone. It will be sharper and smaller than any amount of squeezing the whole document.
Several portals want documents as images rather than PDFs. Choose JPEG and each selected page comes out as its own picture, fitted to the size limit if you set one. The method switches to one file per page automatically, because a JPEG cannot hold several pages.
Portals such as police verification refuse a file whose name contains a space, a dot or a special character — and a name like New Doc 09-07-2026 15.09.pdf has all three. Choose the numbered naming option and the pages come out as 1, 2, 3, which every portal accepts. Keep a note of which is which, since the names no longer say.
Pages taken out as PDF keep their text, their fonts and their quality exactly as they were — nothing is re-encoded. A digital signature on the original does not survive being split, because the signature covers the whole document, not one page. If a signed page has to be submitted alone, ask the office whether they will accept the full signed file instead.
Type that page number in the range box and press Run. Write 1-3,5,8-10 for several pages, or 1- to take everything from the first page onward.
Yes. Choose JPEG as the output and each selected page comes out as its own image, fitted to a size limit if you set one.
No. Pages taken out as PDF are copied exactly as they were, with no re-encoding. Only the JPEG output re-renders the page.
Because removing pages the form did not ask for costs nothing in quality, while compressing the whole document to fit destroys the legibility of the page that mattered.
